Bobi Wine’s quiet exit, he’s in the US now

Surprise, surprise Robert Kyagulanyi, better known as Bobi Wine, slipped out of Uganda not long after the January 15 election and is apparently kicking back in the United States. Sources say he crossed a land border in late January, nice and low-key, no big announcement. Those social media posts that made it look like he was still around? Most were probably filmed earlier. Smart, or just the usual post-election playbook?

He ran as the main challenger, called the results dodgy (Museveni took 71 percent officially), and now his NUP crew is licking wounds and plotting the next move. Remember 2021? Same story he headed abroad, met folks, rallied the diaspora. This time feels familiar, but with fresh election bruises. While security stays tight back home and supporters cool their heels, Bobi’s out there regrouping. Whether you love him or roll your eyes, the guy knows how to keep everyone guessing. Classic opposition exit strategy, served with a side of mystery.
