Karole Kasita is Coming to Serena on May 29 and She is Not Coming to Play

If you have been to a Karole Kasita show before, you already know what is coming. The woman does not just perform. She takes over the room. And on Thursday, May 29, she is bringing that same energy to one of Kampala’s most respected venues, the Kampala Serena Hotel, for her highly anticipated live concert titled The Power Within.

This is not just another show on the Kampala entertainment calendar. For anyone who has followed Karole Kasita’s journey, this concert feels like a statement. Here is a woman who spent years as a lead vocalist quietly building her craft before stepping out solo in 2018 and systematically working her way to the top of Uganda’s music scene. Hits like Yaka, Balance, Binyuma, Tetunazina and Baby Papa did not happen by accident. They happened because of someone who takes her music very seriously.

She was born Namulindwa Caro, grew up in central Uganda, graduated from Makerere University Business School with a degree in Entrepreneurship and then chose music over a desk job. Looking at where she is now, that decision aged very well. They call her the Stage Goddess, and if you have ever seen her command a crowd, you understand immediately why that title stuck.

What makes The Power Within concert particularly worth watching is the context around it. Karole has spent the early part of 2026 very deliberately. New music, media tours, collaborations and a growing reputation that is clearly crossing borders. A concert at Serena is not just a celebration. It is a woman planting a flag and telling the whole city she has arrived on her own terms.

She is also a mother raising her son King, and she has been open about how much that means to her and how hard that balance is. There is something deeply relatable about a Ugandan woman carrying all of that, the career, the artistry, the parenting, and still choosing to show up fully on stage with her crown on. That energy is exactly what The Power Within is about.

Mark your calendars. May 29 at Kampala Serena Hotel. You do not want to explain to your grandchildren why you missed this one.
