Tragedy at Kiboga Prison: Junior Warden Opens Fire, Killing Two Senior Officers and a Colleague’s Wife

A shocking and deeply tragic incident has rocked the Uganda Prisons Service. Early this morning at Kiboga Prison, a junior warden allegedly opened fire on his superiors, killing two senior officers and the wife of the Officer in Charge before fleeing with his service gun.

The victims have been identified as Assistant Superintendent of Prisons Hope Catherine, Principal Officer Akishuri Bright, and Ayebare Sarah, the wife of the prison’s Officer in Charge. The suspect, Warden Anguyo Moses, is still on the run, and a massive manhunt is underway.

This heartbreaking event has left many within the prisons service and the wider community in mourning.
