Please let me out, Brian White begs judge

Bryan White begs for bail, says his health is crumbling in Luzira

The Bryan White saga took another turn when the city socialite appeared in court pleading to be let out on bail. He is on remand at Luzira facing heavy charges tied to the death of 25-year-old Caroline Nalubwama: murder, manslaughter, and even human sacrifice allegations. White told the judge he is a Ugandan citizen who will follow any conditions, but right now his health is failing badly and he needs proper treatment outside prison.

The court heard him out but pushed the whole matter to April 16 for a decision. White has been locked up since last year while investigations drag on. His lawyers are pushing the health angle hard, and in remand cases like this, deteriorating condition can sometimes tip the scales toward temporary release.

For those following from outside, it is a grim reminder of how long high-profile cases can stretch in Uganda. Whether bail comes through or not, the April date will be key. Until then White stays behind bars, and the public waits for what comes next in one of the most talked-about criminal files around.
