New York – After weeks of intense negotiations, Paramount Global has agreed to a series of concessions that could revive its stalled $111 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. The concessions include a lower purchase price, a revised governance structure that grants Warner Bros. Discovery a greater board presence, and the retention of key creative talent through new profit‑sharing arrangements. Industry insiders say the deal, once hailed as a media‑industry mega‑merger, was jeopardised by antitrust concerns and divergent valuations. With the new terms, regulators are expected to give a more favourable review, and the combined entity aims to launch a unified streaming platform by early 2028.
