Police Hunt Six Suspects Over Armed Robbery and Rape in Obongi

The Uganda Police Force has launched an intensive manhunt for six individuals suspected of carrying out a violent armed robbery followed by a rape in the remote town of Obongi, Northern Uganda. The incident, which occurred on the night of August 28, left two victims seriously injured and one dead. Police spokesperson Inspector Kintu Akena said that forensic evidence, including DNA samples and surveillance footage from a nearby market, points to a coordinated group of criminals. A special task force has been deployed, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. The suspects are believed to be armed and dangerous, and a reward of UGX 50 million has been announced for tips leading to their arrest.
