The Uganda Police Force has issued an urgent alert for six individuals suspected of carrying out a coordinated armed robbery and rape in the town of Obongi, Northern Uganda, on 28 August. According to police statements, the assailants entered a local market, brandishing firearms, stealing cash and valuables, and later abducting two women who were subsequently assaulted. The victims are receiving medical care at Obongi Health Centre IV. Investigators have recovered a .45 caliber pistol and a vehicle matching the description given by witnesses. Police urge anyone with information to contact the Obongi Police Station on 112 or the national tip line.
