The Speke Group announced today the acquisition of twelve state‑of‑the‑art speed boats, set to transport tourists across the crystal‑clear waters surrounding the soon‑to‑open Paradise Island resort. The vessels, built by a Dutch marine engineering firm, can reach speeds of up to 45 knots and feature luxury seating, on‑board Wi‑Fi, and eco‑friendly diesel‑electric hybrid engines. Speke Group CEO Elena Marquez said the fleet will reduce travel time from the mainland to the island from 45 minutes to just 12 minutes, enhancing the guest experience and supporting the resort’s sustainability goals. The Paradise Island opening ceremony is scheduled for next month, with dignitaries from the tourism ministry expected to attend.
