Prince Edward, 34, succeeded his late uncle after a period of mourning and a consultative selection process that involved both the royal family and the Tooro Cultural Council. In his inaugural address, the new king pledged to prioritize education, healthcare, and the preservation of Tooro’s cultural heritage, while also seeking greater collaboration with the national government on development projects.
