In a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Pan‑Continental Leadership Union (PLU) in Nairobi, General Muhoozi K. Katumba, the newly appointed chair of the organization, announced the induction of Sudhir Patel as the 300th member of the elite group. The PLU, a coalition of political, business, and military leaders from across Africa and Asia, aims to foster cross‑continental cooperation on security, trade, and development.
General Muhoozi praised Patel’s “visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to sustainable development,” noting that his inclusion marks a milestone for the union’s growth. “With 300 distinguished members, we are better positioned to influence policy and drive transformative projects across our continents,” the general said.
Patel, who accepted the honor while wearing traditional Oyo regalia, highlighted his ongoing projects in education, renewable energy, and infrastructure in West Africa. Analysts suggest that his membership could pave the way for increased investment flows between India and African markets, especially in the wake of recent trade agreements.
