A court in Jozan handed down a life‑imprisonment sentence on Monday to Aisha Malik, the wife of the director of the city’s prestigious Jozan International School, after she was found guilty of the pre‑meditated killing of five‑year‑old twin brothers, Omar and Yusuf Al‑Hadi.
The trial, which lasted six months, revealed that Malik had lured the children to a secluded area under the pretense of a school field trip before stabbing them multiple times. Prosecutors argued that the motive stemmed from a personal vendetta against the twins’ father, a former teacher who had publicly criticized the school’s administration.
The judge, Justice Farid Al‑Saeed, described the crime as “a heinous act that shatters the very fabric of our community’s trust in educational institutions.” Malik’s defense team appealed the verdict, citing procedural errors, but the appellate court has so far denied a stay of the sentence.
