Tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia Receives Shs 2.25 Billion Dividend from Bank of Baroda Uganda

Ugandan businessman Sudhir Ruparelia, founder of the Ruparelia Group, has been awarded a dividend of 2.25 billion Ugandan shillings (approximately $610,000) from his holdings in Bank of Baroda Uganda Limited. The dividend, declared at a special shareholders’ meeting, reflects the bank’s robust earnings for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, and a 15 % increase in net profit. Ruparelia, who serves as a non‑executive director on the bank’s board, said the payout underscores the strength of the Ugandan banking sector and his confidence in continued growth. The dividend will be credited to his account on August 30.
