Afri‑Exim Bank disclosed that its total assets rose to $43.4 billion at the end of the first half of 2026, up 12 % from the same period last year. The growth was driven by a 19 % increase in net profit, which reached $1.8 billion, and a 22 % rise in loan disbursements across its African member states. The bank attributed the performance to expanded trade‑finance facilities, a new digital lending platform, and higher demand for infrastructure financing. Chief Executive Officer Dr. Amina Yusuf highlighted the bank’s commitment to supporting intra‑African trade and announced plans to launch a green‑bond program later this year.
