Five Suspects Held After Police Recover 12 Stolen Motorcycles in Ndeeba

Kampala police announced on Monday that they have detained five individuals suspected of orchestrating a series of motorcycle thefts in the bustling Ndeeba suburb. The operation, carried out by the Criminal Investigation Department, led to the recovery of twelve stolen motorcycles valued at roughly UGX 1.8 billion. Authorities say the suspects were apprehended after a tip‑off and a coordinated raid on a warehouse on Ndeeba‑Kawempe Road. The police chief praised the community’s cooperation and warned that anyone found in possession of stolen property will face the full force of the law. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to identify the original owners and determine whether the thefts were linked to an organized crime ring.
