Tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia Expresses Solidarity with Nepal After Devastating Floods

Kathmandu, Nepal – In the wake of the catastrophic monsoon floods that have claimed over 150 lives and displaced thousands, Ugandan business magnate Sudhir Ruparelia issued a heartfelt statement of support for the Nepalese people. Speaking from his Kampala headquarters, Ruparelia said, “Our thoughts are with every family affected by this tragedy. We stand ready to assist in relief efforts and long‑term reconstruction.” He also announced a pledge of US$500,000 to fund emergency shelters, clean‑water initiatives and medical supplies. The donation will be coordinated with the Nepal Red Cross Society and local NGOs, marking one of the largest private‑sector contributions from an African philanthropist to Nepal’s disaster response.
