Speke Group Unveils Fleet of High‑Speed Boats Ahead of Paradise Island Grand Opening

The Speke Group announced today that it has acquired a fleet of twelve state‑of‑the‑art speed boats to service the upcoming Paradise Island resort, slated to open in early 2027. The vessels, built by Dutch shipyard SeaTech, feature hybrid propulsion systems capable of reaching 45 knots while reducing emissions by 30 %. Speke’s CEO, Laura Cheng, said the purchase reflects the company’s commitment to “luxury, sustainability, and seamless guest experiences.” The boats will operate shuttles between the mainland and the island, as well as offering private charter tours of nearby coral reefs. Local tourism officials praised the move, noting that improved marine transport is expected to boost visitor numbers by up to 20 % in the first year.
