The endorsement, announced at a joint press conference in New Delhi, highlighted Kumar’s confidence in Muhoozi’s “vision for a prosperous, technology‑driven Uganda.” Analysts noted that the endorsement could bolster Muhoozi’s appeal among the Ugandan diaspora and foreign investors, especially in the renewable‑energy sector where Kumar’s firms have significant stakes. The General reiterated his commitment to security, economic diversification, and youth empowerment, promising a “new era of stability and growth” if elected. Opposition leaders dismissed the endorsement as a “political stunt,” warning voters to scrutinize the candidate’s military background.
