The event will bring together multinational mining corporations, local entrepreneurs, and development partners to explore opportunities for downstream processing and value‑addition in Uganda’s burgeoning mining sector. Officials emphasized the government’s commitment to creating a favorable investment climate, including tax incentives for beneficiation projects and streamlined licensing procedures. Key focus areas include the development of a copper‑smelting hub, rare‑earth processing facilities, and the establishment of a national standards board to ensure product quality for export markets.
