Patel’s companies have consistently filed returns on time, setting a benchmark for private sector compliance. Following the commendation, Okwir launched a new outreach program targeting landlords across the country, urging them to register rental properties and remit the 10 percent rental tax. The URA plans to roll out a digital portal that simplifies filing and offers incentives, such as reduced audit frequency, for landlords who demonstrate consistent compliance. “When the private sector leads, the whole nation benefits,” Okwir said.
