In an effort to strengthen regional preparedness and response to the Ebola outbreak, the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention has brought together 13 countries, including Uganda, to share knowledge and best practices. The meeting, which took place in Kampala, aimed to enhance collaboration and coordination among countries to prevent and respond to Ebola outbreaks. The Africa CDC has warned that the current outbreak in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo poses a significant threat to the region, and it is essential for countries to be prepared. With the meeting, the Africa CDC hopes to strengthen the capacity of countries to respond to Ebola outbreaks and reduce the risk of transmission.
