Five Suspects Held After Police Recover 12 Motorcycles in Ndeeba

Kampala police announced the arrest of five individuals suspected of involvement in a large‑scale motorcycle theft ring after recovering twelve stolen motorcycles in the Ndeeba district. The operation, carried out on Friday night, involved a coordinated raid on a warehouse that was being used as a storage hub for the stolen vehicles. Officers recovered the motorcycles, many of which bore the distinctive “Boda‑Boda” branding common in the region, along with tools believed to be used for dismantling and re‑assembling the bikes. The suspects, all aged between 22 and 35, are being charged with theft, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy. Police chief Geoffrey Kiyingi praised the swift action and urged the public to report any suspicious activity related to vehicle theft.
