Former Speaker Among confirms blood clot, appeals to Museveni for specialised treatment outside security confinement

Former Speaker of the Ugandan Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, has confirmed that she is suffering from a blood clot and has appealed to President Yoweri Museveni for specialized medical treatment outside the country. Kadaga, who is currently under security confinement, stated that her condition requires urgent attention and that she is unable to receive the necessary treatment in Uganda. She has requested that the President intervenes to allow her to travel abroad for medical care, citing the need for specialized treatment that is not available in the country. The appeal has sparked concerns about the state of Kadaga’s health and the limitations imposed on her by her security confinement. The former Speaker’s condition has also raised questions about the adequacy of Uganda’s healthcare system and the need for access to specialized medical care. As Kadaga awaits a response to her appeal, her supporters have expressed concern about her well-being and the potential risks associated with delaying her medical treatment.
