The Housing Finance Bank (HFB) announced it will host a regional summit on real‑estate development and infrastructure investment in Mbarara on September 15. The three‑day event will bring together developers, municipal officials, investors, and civil‑society representatives from the Western and Central regions of Uganda. HFB’s CEO, Mrs. Grace Nansubuga, said the dialogue aims to address bottlenecks such as land‑title disputes, financing gaps, and inadequate road networks that hinder affordable housing projects. Participants will also explore public‑private partnership models and the role of green building standards. The bank has pledged UGX 200 billion in new mortgage financing to support the initiatives discussed at the summit.
