Multiple Patients Hospitalized After Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes at Miami International Airport

A Boeing 767‑300 cargo aircraft operated by Amazon Air skidded off the runway at Miami International Airport early Tuesday morning, colliding with a service road and igniting a small fire. While the crew escaped with minor injuries, the crash caused a secondary incident when a nearby medical transport van, carrying patients en route to a local hospital, was struck. Emergency responders rescued five patients, three of whom suffered fractures and contusions, while two were treated for smoke inhalation. All victims were stabilized and transferred to Jackson Memorial Hospital. The Federal Aviation Administration has opened an investigation, citing possible runway contamination and pilot fatigue as potential factors.
