Pajule Health Centre IV Endures Two‑Week Water Outage Over Shs2.6 Million Bill Dispute

Residents of Pajule have been forced to cope without running water at the local Health Centre IV for fourteen days after the centre was billed Shs2.6 million for water usage it claims it never incurred. The centre’s administration says the bill, issued by the national water authority, is based on faulty meter readings and inflated consumption estimates. Patients have been given bottled water, but staff report shortages of essential sanitation supplies. Community leaders have appealed to the Ministry of Health and the water authority to resolve the dispute urgently, warning that the prolonged outage threatens the delivery of critical health services.
