Kampala – Ugandan business magnate Sudhir Ruparelia, founder of the Ruparelia Group, received a dividend payout of Shs2.25 billion from Bank of Baroda Uganda for the fiscal year ending June 2024. The payment, approved at the bank’s annual general meeting, reflects a 15 % increase over the previous year’s dividend and underscores the bank’s solid profitability despite a challenging macro‑economic environment. In a brief statement, Ruparelia thanked the bank’s board for the “generous return to shareholders” and said the funds would be reinvested into expanding his real‑estate and hospitality portfolio across East Africa.
