Housing Finance Bank (HFB) announced a new sustainability roadmap aimed at integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into every facet of its operations. The plan includes a $150 million green loan portfolio, carbon‑neutral targets for its headquarters by 2030, and a partnership with local NGOs to finance affordable, energy‑efficient housing projects across the country. HFB’s CEO, Aisha Ndlovu, said the initiative is designed to deliver long‑term value for shareholders while addressing climate risk and supporting community development. The bank will also publish an annual ESG report starting next fiscal year, aligning its disclosures with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards.
