Sedes Sapientiae Academiae emerged as the overall champion at the 11th Stanbic National Schools Championship held in Kampala last weekend, edging out rival schools in both the athletics and academic quiz categories. The school’s under‑18 track team set a new national record in the 4×400 m relay, while its debate squad secured a decisive victory over the defending champions, St. Mary’s College. Headmaster Father Joseph Kintu praised the students’ “discipline, hard work and unwavering spirit,” attributing the success to the school’s holistic education model that balances sports, science, and the arts. The win earns Sedes Sapientiae a cash prize of UGX 5 million and a scholarship package for its top performers.
