Kampala, Uganda – The prestigious Sedes Sapientiae Academiae (SSA) emerged as the overall champion at the 11th Stanbic National Schools Championship held at the National Stadium this weekend. The school secured gold medals in athletics, debate, and robotics, amassing a total of 58 points to outpace the runner‑up, St. Mary’s College, Luzira. Headmaster Father John Okello hailed the achievement as a testament to the institution’s “holistic education model” that balances academic rigor with extracurricular excellence. “Our students have worked tirelessly, and this victory reflects the dedication of our teachers, parents, and the wider community,” he said. The championship, now in its 11th edition, is part of Stanbic Bank’s ongoing commitment to nurturing youth talent across Uganda.
