Sedes Sapientiae Academiae emerged victorious at the 11th Stanbic National Schools Championship held in Kampala this weekend, clinching top honours in both the senior and junior divisions. The school’s rugby team defeated St. Mary’s College 21‑14 in a thrilling final, while the girls’ netball squad edged out Ndejje Senior School 33‑31 in a nail‑biting finish. Coach James Kintu praised the students’ discipline and teamwork, noting that “the dedication shown on and off the field reflects the school’s commitment to holistic education.” The tournament, sponsored by Stanbic Bank, featured 48 schools from across Uganda and highlighted the growing talent pipeline for national sports.
