Ndere Cultural Centre Launches Digitisation Drive for Ugandan Heritage in Primary Schools

The Ndere Cultural Centre, a leading promoter of Ugandan arts and traditions, has kicked off a nationwide programme to digitise cultural content for primary‑school curricula. The project will provide teachers with tablets pre‑loaded with interactive lessons on traditional music, dance, folklore, and language. Over the next two years, the centre aims to reach 1,200 schools across the country, preserving intangible heritage while making it accessible to a new generation. Minister of Education and Sports, Hon. Janet Namulondo, praised the initiative as a “vital step toward safeguarding our identity in the digital age.”
